Other Birth Services

Services Offered and Cost

Off-Site Placenta Encapsulation: Cost $250

I follow rigorous safety standards and practice the strictest sanitation protocols.

This service will take place in my home. In most cases, you will be able to get your order more quickly because I can start processing the same day I receive your placenta. You also will not have to plan to be home for the service and you also can enjoy your own home without interruption to bond with baby until I deliver your order. You also have a savings because I will reduce my travel time and costs which are passed along to you!

In-Home Placenta Encapsulation: Cost $285

As always, I follow rigorous safety standards and practice the strictest sanitation protocols.

This service is the same but takes place in your own home. It is one additional option that sets Peaceful Birth apart. You have the option to choose that I complete the entire encapsulation process, in your own home. This can be a preference for some moms because they enjoy and prefer overseeing the entire or at least part of the process. You can store your own placenta until I arrive and know that it is not exposed to unfamiliar microbes, that are different than what you have inside your own home and to which your immune system is accustom. The space I will use in your home will be thoroughly sanitized before and after the process is complete. All supplies arrive and leave with me.

If this appeals to you, make sure you choose the “in home" option

Placenta Tincture & Salve: Cost $20 each or both for $35

In addition to your capsules, you may consider adding a tincture or salve. Both are great options for extended healing.

To make your tincture, placenta is added to high quality alcohol and is left to infuse for several weeks. You can then keep this remedy at room temperature, and use it during periods of transition, stress, or during hormonal shifts, as necessary.

My nourishing Peaceful Mamma Salve, made with my own herbaceous blend of plants and your own placenta can be applied to surgical scars, scrapes, eczema, diaper rash, cradle cap, sunburn and dry skin.

Placenta Art Keepsakes

  • Cord Keepsake: Cost $10

An umbilical cord keepsake is included with your placenta encapsulation service. Your baby’s cord is dried, usually into a heart or star shape. This is a lovely memento for a baby book or memory box.

  • Placenta Print: Cost $25 or larger Tree of Life $35

A placenta print is a beautiful way to honor this life-giving connection as art. Each print is as unique as the baby it nourished. I always use high quality, acid free paper and ink.

Postpartum Herbal Bath Soak

I’ve always thought that after labor, women should be able to look forward to a nice quiet vacation and recovery time. Many time this doesn’t happen. Yes, we do get a precious and wonderful baby, but we also get the lack of sleep that often accompanies. This herbal bath soak is one way to get yourself the healing and pampering your body deserves.

Herbs can be wonderful after birth. I’ve used my healing salve and herbal bath soak to speed healing and they really helped my body to recover more quickly..

This herbal infusion can be added to a relaxing bath to help ease any soreness and speed recovery. It can also be brewed and added to a healing Sitz Bath, Peri Bottle or cooled pad for extra comfort.
